Grace Episcopal Cathedral
8th Avenue & Polk Street
Topeka, Kansas
The main exhibit consists of seven structures fronted by
authentic likenesses of the historic Gates of the Old City of
Jerusalem, designed and painted by professional theatrical
set designers in Boston.

Through each gate are
interactive displays highlighting
particular themes about Jerusalem, including history, art,
literature, archeology, geography, faith traditions, and ethnic
origins and customs.

Developed by the
Bureau of Jewish Education of Boston in
1993, its tours have demonstrated broad appeal across
religious and secular lines from preschool through senior
citizens.
The event is particularly appropriate
for children and includes a scavenger
hunt, native costumes, a
shuk or
marketplace, and an arts and crafts
activity the child can take home.

A
special display of 19th Century prints
of Jerusalem is currently appearing
in
the Cathedral's
Cloister Art Gallery.
