importance to teens. Our goal is to understand and express the role our faith plays
in our lives. Youth Forum begins and ends earlier than children's Sunday School and
Adult Education programs to give Acolytes and Choristers time to vest for the 10:30
service.
Middle School: Sunday Mornings from 9:15--10:00 am
Using the Friendship First New Testament as a guide, this class focuses on building
relationships, both within the class and in everyday life.
Overnights
Youth overnights at the Cathedral are a popular activity. Our Halloween overnight in
October follows the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library’s annual Silents in the
Cathedral and includes tours of the tower and crypt, worship, and ghost stories and
games. During Holy Week, we offer a Maundy Thursday overnight to prepare for
Easter by “keeping watch with Jesus” following a congregational meal and celebration
of the Last Supper. We have other overnights in connection with Diocesan events,
late night activities, and service projects.
Activity Nights
Activity nights are generally held
away from the Cathedral at events
such as bowling, miniature golf,
go-carting, current run movies,
and other fun stuff.
Field Trips
Field trips in recent years have
included two overnight trips to the
Global Village in Perryville,
Arkansas and the Rock the Light
concert in Kansas City. Our most
recent trip was a Pilgrimage to
Canterbury in 2007.

Movie Nights
Seeking the sacred in the secular, Movie Nights are periodically scheduled during
the school year. We have supper together as we watch and discuss a popular
feature length movie in the Cathedral Youth Room.
